Does anybody know anything about the Citizen 24-pin printer? Esc codes,
drivers, graphics, tractor-push/pull, cost, where, etc? Thanks, James. Also,
somebody mentioned buying an Epson LQ-800 for $477. Anybody know where?
Yes, that was me. I found several places where the price came out about the
same, but I ended up buying from Tri-State Computer in NY. Their price in
April was $439.95, or add $20 and get the Amiga cable also (their numbers were
very screwy due to funky advertising, but that was the gist of it). With the
cable and shipping it came to $477.90.
It took them longer than I expected to deliver, and you might be better off
trying someone else. OTOH you might want to give them a call, as I looked at
their ad every month for three months, and the price kept going down each
month; it might be lower now.
Grab a current issue of Byte and look through the back for pricing. For
Tri-State, the number is 800-221-1926.
Oh, be advised you _don't_ get a tractor with this printer unless you order it.
If anyone finds out where to buy a tractor inexpensively, please let me know!
