Maybe that's what I should have done – I really wanted the programming
capability. Where did you hear about the Professional version?

Claude, I think it was in the original ads or maybe a review. I just saw it
today in a Amiga User Group newsletter – but it didn't give a release date –
just said it would be available and as an upgrade to Superbase Personal owners.

Thanks, Marlene. I feel better about my purchase, knowing that the
professional version is not available yet. I was anxious to get Superbase (I
had ordered it locally, but after 3 weeks it was still backordered, so I
ordered from GO Amigo and had it in a few days). The thought that I had
purchased the wrong version and that the version I really wanted was available
didn't make me very happy.
Now I'll try this version and wait for the professional version to start
shipping.
I think I'll write a letter to Progressive Peripherals, just to complain about
their false advertising. The ad should have stated that programming was only
available in the professional version.

Claude, where did you see an ad that stated that there was programming ability
in the Personal pkg? I just looked at their ad for Superbase in the Nov/Dec
AmigaWorld and it doesn't state that. The ads that I remember from awhile back
stated that there would be a future more powerful developer pkg.
Anyway, if you contact Progressive Peripherals and find out when the Developer
pkg will be available I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.

The ad is in Amazing Computing, the last two issues (vol. 1 no. 9 and vol. 2
no. 1). The ads in Amiga World are different and give very few details on the
program.
I've written a letter to Progressive Peripherals – I'll let you know what their
response is.

I took a look at that ad you mentioned (in Amazing) and I'm inclined to agree
that the ad _seems_ to imply that the BASIC is included in the Personal
version. I think they should either change the ad or supply the BASIC.

I wrote them a letter today asking for info on the upgrade and complaining
about the false advertising. It'll be interesting to see what they have to
say. Since the ad says "copyrighted by Progressive Peripherals", and since
none of the packaging of manual that came with the program (which is written by
Precision Software) implys that the BASIC is included with the Personal
version, I suspect that the fault lies with Progressive Peripherals – the
distributors in North America.
