Andy, So you have a Mac and an Amy on your desktop. Perhaps you'll wake up and
find a new computer some day (A McAmiga?). I'm fairly active on the Gamers
Forum and most of my "inside" info originates there. I'm posting Amiga Version
Notes for the game reviews in The Electronic Gamer also. OGRE will be up
shortly then Starglider in a couple weeks. As for Amiga Mags I find Amazing
Computing to be one of the best for info on new products and making the most of
the Amiga's powers.
I'm currently using the first release of Online! and am also waiting for the
Update 2.0. One thing I like about using the Amiga for telecom is that if
you're planning a major upload you can set a background, game, word proccesor
etc running and not sit around watching the blocks come in.
Ultima 3 is available for the Amiga, have you played it? I found U IV to be
one of the best RPG's I've ever played and haven't seen anything close since.
Once (if) R. Garriot starts programing for the 16 bit machines I think we'll
see some really amazing RPG's show up. Later, Mike
No, I haven't played U IV! Been waiting for it to be ported! But I have played
U 3, and enjoyed it and 2 thoroughly. Also got off on Wizardry in spite of it's
non graphic interface. It just is a good game! Well…maybe one of these
years… Amiga will have IV, or the Mac will. Amazing Computing, eh? I'll look
into it. You know, I don't think I've even seen it on the Newsstands in
Louisville? Meanwhile, I'm slogging it out with Sinbad. Hasn't quite hooked me,
yet. But, I'm not giving up. (Did go back and start another Faery
adventure…but now that I've got over 100 bravery points…there's no
challenge left. Did get killed quite often before that. Later, Andy
Andy, I think I heard something about U IV for the AMIGA being in the works,
but no target date. There is an IBM version but I'm not sure if it will run
under Transformer or the elusive Sidecar. Any way, stepping down to Big Blue
would be tough after using a Amiga and Mac. Also heard Wizardry will be out for
the AMiga shortly (6 mos?).
Your right Amazing Computing doesn't list _any_ dealers in Kentucky, must be

Also a good mag is Computer Gaming World. It has a Mac Gaming Column and an

I didn't know Kentucky was so off the beaten path! No dealerships here, eh? It
figures. By the way, Alien Fires definitely is available. Got a message that
someone ordered it directly from Jagware…if you want to follow the thread RS
Questron, etc… (Maybe just Quest will do?) Maybe we'll start an Alien thread
soon?
Thanks for the info, by the way! I HAVE seen Computer Gaming World, off
and on at the newsstand, and I did enjoy it. But, lately, it seems to have
disappeared? Copies sold out, perhaps?
