I would like to use the audio capabilities of my Amiga 2000 to make sound effects. I have seen a lot of programs for music and keyboards, and for sampling sounds, but none for creating sounds. Can anyone help. -+WMS+nyone help. -+WMS+-

Walter, Two packages that you might look at are Synthia from The Other Guys and Sonix from Aegis. Synthia seems to targeted right towards what you want to do. I have a great time playing with the instrument editor included with Sonix. Give them a look! -John

In addition to what John has suggested, realize that you can do a lot of "creating" by modifying sampled sounds. For example, need a gong sound? Using a very high data rate, sample yourself banging on a pot lid, then slow it WAYYYYY down. It's really quite amazing what you can do with existing sounds and a bit of hacking. Rick
