Louis, NICE job on SLOGO! It looks great! Question….how did you get the
"silver" look to the logo? Did you use the "SHINY" attribute? Or did you
use the "NORMAL" attribute in conjunction with reflectivity? It should be
dazzling on a darker background…but as it is I's fantastic! 🙂
THANKS GREG. THE SHINY LOOK COMES FROM HIGH REFLECTIVITY IN ALL RGB WITH A
BLUE ZIENITH AND A BROWN SURFACE. THE REST IS JUST SMOOTHING ON AND AN EDGE
LEVEL OF ABOUT 30. (NO SHINY SETTING IN SILVER…OR DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING I
DON'T<GRIN>)….NEXT IS THOSE BALLS ROTATING AROUND THE LOGO………MORE
TO COME SOON……..LOUIS
Louis, Ahhhh…..I have an option called SHINY. Instead of creating a
REFLECTIVE – NORMAL object, you create a SHINY objects. What it does is
"reflect" the intensities of light, rather than objects. This way, you CAN
create GOLD, or SILVER tones on ANY colored background.

Well…just got a new version today and indeed it has "Shiny"<grin>..will
let you know what I think in a few days. In the meantime take a look at
ATLogo, just uploaded for another fine Silver example (I can already hear
you saying "too much reflectivity"<grin>…but its nice anyway. As for a
darker bground for the Silver logo I've had big troubles with it coming out
dark….(the tan in the trace is actually almost black (Dk Brown) with no
reflection or specular light
Well, now with SHINY you don't need to worry about an object picking up the
background color to any large extent, if at all.
