#Multitasking

Henry, if you want to use Interlink go get your ST back. There ain't no such
beast for the Amiga yet. But to say that you can do more on a 512K ST than
you can on an Amiga with 512K is bullpucky! The problem is not the Amiga or
it's 512K, but rather the fact that there is no standalone terminal program
like Interlink. If you want it so badly that you are CONSTANTLY harping on
it, go get your ST back. Otherwise use what is here for the Amiga. You can
get most of the glitz as seperate programs but you have to choose them
because of your 512K limit. You easily do it….but running programs like
AMIC will cut into that 512K very quickly.

Yes, thank you that's what I'm trying to say. But I wouldn't consider it
"harping". Other people simply don't believe it.
If I went back to the ST, which I don't plan on doing, I'd be missing alot
of things I have now. Just as I now miss things from the ST. But I am much
happier now. I don't think any 1 computer is perfect over teverything in
all circumstances.

Here you go again. It's the software, not the computer itself that is
lacking.
I AGREE!!!! The reason it got into a "computer" discussion is because others
have brought multitasking in as the "cure", when it's not in this case.
Multitasking won't make Amic, Access, or Aterm do call logging.
Henry,
date >tempfile aterm date >tmpfile2 join tempfile tmpfile2 as logfile
Ta dah!! Call logging! Not as accurate as it could be, because it doesn't
allow for the time to logon, but you want it to the nearest minute, not the
nearest second. By the way, the example I've given is in no way a full
procedure, but it gives you the general idea. Call it with Newcli, and you
don't give up the original CLI either.
