For only being Rev. 1.3 of WB I can hardly fault Commadore, the new
drivers work well (my opinion only), and some other really decent items on
the disk….I will credit the programmers who wrote Excellence! for doing a
really fine job, but MSS themselves can still shove their heads somewhere
very uncomfortable…..printing with Excellence is really quite fast….but
they need to get to work on the bugs!!

The only bug I've found so far – if you go into the new pref, do something,
get out and then enter excellence, you either crash or hang. At least I do.
What sort of problems have you found? I did suggest to MSS to add
installation of the drivers, etc. to the hd install file, and to provide
printed documentaion for hd's.

Ron,
never had that one happen to me …..YET!! :), but you cannot really
type different fonts on the "fly"…you have to save the document and the
change the fonts one by one after. Memory mapping on Excellence! seems to be
very stable, as well as overall operating conditions. You definately must
have at least 1 (and preferably 2) megs of memory for real good work.
MSS missed the boat on print spooling….not sure why it would have
been a hangup in this program !!….the hd aspect seem difficult to
understand, they could have set the hd install program to be more compatible
with different drives !!….oh well cant have it all I guess….am still
playing with it and liking it more….MSS can still go to H**L as far as I am
concerned……..

YUCK! YOu can't change fonts on the fly? Boy does that sound like a
kludge!
