Keith, Just wanted to let you know that I've been playing around the ASEND in Access! and MikeM was correct. Since I used the install script provided by Supra for the 2400zi the ASEND no longer seems functional. If on CIS it will disconnect and lockup the system. I also tried it while not on line and it tried to use every number it came across in the ASCII file as a number to dial or as a modem command. I've also tried to adjust my prefs serial rate to match the baud rate without any real success. If it makes any difference the Supra install script found and changed 3 occurences to the modem0 format. Since Access! runs fine except for this glitch the bug must be in the Supra software. Just thought I'd let you know since Supra states it's Access! compatible in their manual. JeffS.

Jeff, I use the Supra 2400zi and Access!. ASEND is no buggier than before (meaning that it will fail about 1 in 10 times). -sja

Steve, I just tried it with various baud rates, pref settings and adjusted the char/line delays. It locked up after transmitting about 6 lines each time I tried it. Any suggestions? (Access!'s functions still worked but the screen was dead to input from the chat window and without the chat window the same thing happened) JeffS.

Steve, Until I started to use the Supra Internal I can't recall a major problem with the ASEND feature of Access! As I said in a prior message I was able to ASEND with my old modem and a virgin copy of Access! 1.42 just fine. MikeM:)

Ask Keith about it — he's aware of the problem. ASEND will fail randomly. Usually after a capture which you then try to ASEND.

Jeff, I also have found a problem with the auto dial feature since changing to the supra internal. Now it will start to dial, hangup and redial repeatedly. I now have to unselect that feature to dial CIS. If I use the auto dial feature for a other (cuze me) online service the auto dial works fine. Wierd!! Still having the problems with the ASEND also. Did a few experiments the other day. I took a virgin Access! 1.42 program and was able to ASEND all day with my old modem. I then took that same program and used the modemmodify program and changed that very same one to use the Supra Internal. It also failed to ASEND properly. BTW the three occurrances of changing serial.device to modem0.device is correct. I also have changed the Access! program serial.device to modem0.device with FileZap. Still ddid'nt work. I am Thinking of Calling Supra to fine out if they are aware of this problem. MikeM:)

I had/have been testing the Supra internal for some time now, but hadn't noticed (may not have tried it yet) the ASEND problem you guys are having… I'll do some testing here and see if I can track it down. Thanks for the report. (in the mean-time, check Preferences, make sure you have Handshaking set to 'None') Keith
