#fF Maximum Resolution

Does anyone here know the maximum resolution that flickerFixer will
support? I picked one up the other day, now I have to start looking for a
multi-scan monitor. The fF docs. say, "The maximum horizontal overscan
supported by flickerFixer is 704 pixels." But I heard from someone else
that that was a limitation imposed by AmigaDOS, not by fF. They said that
with 2.0, fF would support higher horizontal overscan. Of course, this
person didn't have 2.0, so he was going on the basis of trying to figure
things out, rather than having actually tried it.
Anybody know what the story is on this? If fF will support higher
resolutions, I'll probably pay a few extra dollars for a monitor that will
be able to take advantage of that as well. If fF isn't going to go beyond
704, I may as well save a few dollars, and get a monitor that supports that
range as well.

On my 2000 with flickerfixer I'm running a 710×476 screen.

Do you lose a little info off the edges with 710×476 screen? My FF
manual says the max it will display is 704×470. When I use 704×470 I lose
a little off of the bottom or top of the screen. Changing vertical size
does not help. I just use one less row i.e. -columns 64 -rows 34 (instead
of 35). It seems like the FF will not quite display the max overscan
setting. I am using an NEC 3D.

I do not lose any info. I could get a bit larger but I purposely left a
small border on all sides. From morerows I've got ….

I'm using an Imtec monitor (made by Samsung).
I've got mind running on a Mitsubishi 14" with 704×470 and it looks great.
Most multisyncs will leave a small black border on the sides – the Mits has
1/2" black borders; not too bad. I also have the fF and the normal Amiga
RGB running through a 25-pin switch box so when I need the interlace, I
just flip the switch – Make sure the switch throws all the pins at once or
you might waste the monitor and video ports!
Also, I have a tough time getting the phasing to stay adjusted correctly.
Seems to go out with the humidity or lunar phase or something. Any

I use an NEC 3D and have borders along the sides of about the same size.
I will definitely get a switchbox when WB 2.0 comes out. I can't quite get
all info on the screen with 704×470. Most applications are not bothered
but on some a gedget or some info will be off the bottom.
My FF seems to be solid. I have never had to adjust it after the
initial installation. I guess they are not all the same. Even if I had to
adjust it once in a while it I would still not give it up. The comparable
upgrade in the 3000 is a great idea (but who's).
