Thanks to all who replied. Suprisingly, I have tried many places including
our local dealer here in Northern Virginia and numerous mail order places.
No one has heard of this release except one mail order place who said that
they didn't have it in stock ($49.00) and wouldn't know when they would get
it. Finally, the Memory Location in Boston said that they carried it in
stock for $30.00. To anyone who is getting this software, I would
recommend that they save themselves grief and contact the Memory Location.
Perhaps Commodore should make this more available…

It _is_ available. CBM isn't responsible for what a dealer decides to
stock.
No CMB isn't responsible for what a dealer decides to stock, but they are
responsible for letting dealers know what's available. I you read John's
message carefully he said that dealers he talked to had not _heard_ of it,
so how can they carry it?

It is on every dealer's price list — there is no excuse for them not to
know about it. It's been available for months.
Ooops! My apologies, I didn't know the dealers knew about it. You're
certainly right that they don't have to carry it. (They have to make money
right?:-)

All I'm saying is that our local dealer appeared to have no idea that this
product existed. He offered to let me come in and copy the Janus2.0
software from the 286 bridgeboard for free, but I was interested in the
documentation that comes with the Enhancer. I don't believe that he had
anything to gain by lying…It just appeared to me that of all the places I
contacted, only two had heard of the product. Oh well…

I find a general lack of knowledge on most of the dealers' parts. I spoke
to two today who are supposed to be the best in the LA area and niether had
much idea what was going on. I'm trying to find the upgrade ROMs for the
XTBridgecard, even have the part number. One guy told me I could get it
from a IBM dealer, which is totally wrong, if I am not mistaken. So ya'
just gotta know what you need and bother them 'till they get it for you.
I quote, "Yes we have it in stock." Me, "How much is it?" store, "around
thirty dollars." Can you mail me one? Yes. Ok, how much is it? OH, YOU
WANT AN EXACT PRICE? <gritting teeth> Yes. Hold
on…wait…wait…wait…That's $14.95. I get the feeling in most places
that I'm dealing with a kid who is handling his first customer. It was
that way a Radio Shack for years when I was running a Tandy.
