ok gang, i actually have a working copy of this emulator. it was written in germany and this is a demo. it is written entirely in german. As i understand this it is hearsay but the person who wrote it did Not use an atari rom. he was considering sending it to commodore and selling it to them. HOwever i doubt commodore would buy it . i also hear he MIGHT make it pd but these are just roumers. Upon verification of LACK of a "Borrowed" atari rom ill see if we can possibly upload it . THE program is crunched so i really cant do much with it . the copy i have does NOT do joysticks, printer , serial or sound. I will let you know more as i know.

Is this similar to the Australian PD ST-Emulator that's been floating around, where you have to get an Atari-TOS disk to use it ?

This is a SELF contained emulator however it dosent do joysticks or sound

Probably because it requires TOS to run and TOS is copyrighted by Atari. Basically, it can be uploaded without TOS, but one would have to pirate TOS to get it to run. By making this available for download it would seem to be condoning piracy of copyrighted software. Yes, the DEMO is PD, but TOS is not. Hopefully, someone will find a way around this mess so we cann all have the benefits of an Atari ST emulator. Currently I have an Amiga 1000 with the 1060 IBM SideCar, Amax Mac emulator, Go-64 64 emulator and I am hoping to find a legit way of getting the ST emulator. Wow…5 computers in one, can't beat that.

well i presently own a 1040st, buying a 2000 or 3000 soon, and if this emulator works it would be great, especially since i have tos 1.0 1.2 and 1.4 on chip, so i would really like to see this thing. greg

Allen, i understand there is a pd emulator from australlia that requires a TOS Disk to run. Im searching for a working gopy as i have an ORIGIONAL Atari Tos disk here to try on it. I also hear there is a commercial one in the works in england.

Music/MIDI software for the Atari ST Emulator? Sounds good but most of the Music/MIDI stuff available for the ST (at least the good stuff) is already available for the Amiga. I guess my main reason for trying to get the ST emulator is just for the "look what my computer can do" type of thing. It will raise the number of computer systems I am compatible with to 5 (Amiga, IBM, Mac, C64) and soon Atari ST. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Todd, Most of the Music/MIDI stuff available for the ST is already available for the Amiga? Hmmm.. I can think of Dr. T's stuff and MasterTracks Pro (of which the latest version is available only on the Mac), but that's about it. Can you elaborate? Regards, Allen

Please upload it. TOS is available from Atari dealers, by purchasing TOS on disk ($10), you get use of the Atari OS, from Atari, no legal hassles. I have TOS on disk, and would love to try the demo. Please Upload it.
