Pete, No, I've not used any studio equipment at all, including a VP-1, but I can easily sense their awe, nonetheless. (I've had similar experiences at work with IBMer's thinking PC-Paint is state-of-the-art.) I hadn't heard any reports about ProVideo Post yet; glad to hear it'll do the job for you. How long does it take to create the DVE effects? Tolerable? Karl

Karl, On my 68030-accelerated machine they take about 15 seconds to generate (not exactly like Video Effects 3D, eh?). I'm told that on a stock machine they take from thirty seconds to a minute and a half. The drawback is that the DVE is in a nonstandard format and PVP provides no way to store it, so you have to recreate it anew each time you want to use it. I haven't found that to be a particular problem, as the DVE's are more suited to bringing in a title page and then you'd go to standard transition effects. Pete
