Hello,
Anybody can help me. I have Adeptec 1542B. Recently, I bought Toshiba 3301
CD-ROM drive. CD-ROM vendor said I have to contact Adeptec to get device
driver for CD. I cannot talk to any Adeptec PERSON. ( Their phone system is
very bad, their BBS is always busy ).
How can I buy or get their device driver for CD ?

You will need to get the drivers from the dealer that you got the
controller from or the CD ROM drive from… Kerry
I can give you some specifics. You must first load the ASPI4DOS.SYS in
your config.sys. This would have come with your controller if you got the
kit or is available as a software package by the name of ASW1410
(IngramMicro D is a distributor here in the states that carries it). The
next piece is the ASW410 software driver (also available for $$s). From
that package you add the ASWCDTSH.SYS /D:MSCD001 to your config.sys. If
yo have difficulties finding the software, I can find a dealer to help you.
