I think it would be a good idea if you would move a copy of MSCDEX
version 2.21 from the microsoft lib to a lib here. There are quite
a few messages about it here. If it were free, I would transfer it
myself!

I believe this has been discussed here before, and the answer was that
doing so would violate CompuServe's policy regarding copyrighted software.
I even think previous uploads of MSCDEX here have been deleted.

Recently, a copy of MSCDEX was available in the Libraries here. It was
pointed out that it is copyrighted and there are a number of vendors who
sell it. Therefore, it should not be available in this forum. I believe
th at Microsoft owns the copyright to it so they can post in in their
drivers library but for us to repost it here, we would have to obtain a
license to distribute it.

Sell mscdex? That's news to me! Sounds like politics, argh!
Well, if nobody else has thought of it (why?), I will take responsibility
and get microsoft to let us post a copy here. I'll post my results when I
see what they say.
