#SCSI drive & 2090

I'm not sure this is the best place to post this, but I'm in need of
some expert help. I just came into an amiga 2000 with a 2090 or a
2091 controller (it's auto booting), with a seagate st251 drive. I
have connected the Supra SCSI drive I was using on my 1000, but have
not been able to reach it. The drive activity lights comes on when I
boot the machine, but attempting to mount it just results in an
unreadable drive status from the Info command. I haven't tried the
PREP program yet, as I would like to avoid losing the data on the
drive. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.
Steve, you _may_ be able to simply add RES1: to your mountlist, to
allow the SCSI to be mounted, with running PREP. The Seagate is Unit
1, the SCSI will be Unit 3. The rest of the info needed in the
MountList entry i don't recall, but perhaps someone else on the forum
can produce a Supra MountList listing for a RES1: device.
The Supra hard drive may need special treatment in the
Startup-Sequence as well. I just added an ST506 to a machine that
already had a SCSI drive in it, but it was a Quantum SCSI.

Thanks for the information, I have a pretty good idea about what
your're talking about. I did find out from Supra, that I'll need to
reformat the drive, but I've still not been able to do even that.
Yeah, the Supra drives (I usta have one in my Amiga) ned special treatment.

I called supra and got pretty much the same info. Now I just have to
decide if worth fooling with this 2090 card or to buy a supra product.
