#Making CD-ROMs
9 messages in this thread
Does anyone have information on how I can get my data placed onto a CD-ROM?
I am in Orange County, in Calif. I would like to store large printouts on
CD-ROM for later use.
Thanks, Rick
Disc Manufacturing Inc. is located in Anaheim. I'll try and find a number.
Rick,
Will need more info on your project in order to hopefully point you in the
right direction. Here are some starting points <a guess>:
Mastering Facilities:
Jerry Stanton<I don't know who your rep would be>-3M-715/235-5567
Linda Watson-SONY/DADC-812/462-8160
Mastering Equipment:
John Ahrens<old contact>-Meridian Data-408/476-5858
Bob Hamlin-ONLINE Computer-301/601-2196
Good luck,

I'm afraid your Meridian Contact is out of date. For mastering equipment,
call Jody Gunn or Matt Jacobs at 800-76SALES (800-767-2537).
Thanks Matt, I'll be sure to update my records.

Marc!!! You forgot NIMBUS as a mastering facility!! 1-800-782-0778 ext
347. Larry Boden or Ernie Runyon
Ernie,
My sincerest apologies, the contact names I had in front of me for NIMBUS
were unquestionably outdated. NIMBUS is definately one of the key players
in the CD-ROM arena with exceptional service and products. Hope to see you
in August at FOSE CD-ROM.

Hey Ernie,
Gimme a price quote – if I send data already pre-mastered, with
artwork for the disk and insert on floppy, for a quantity of 50 disks …
for price comparisons only. 3M was about $1600 – and I just got 50 disks
suitable for wallpaper only, and the color on the disks is wrong – so not
even suitable for wallpaper <g>. I go through this process every quarter –
and I'm tired of it. Are you in the same ballpark?
