Is anyone having trouble getting the upgraded monitor drivers from their local dealer that commodore has come out with for WB 3.0? I have had an order placed with the dealer I bought my A1200 from for almost a month and all they tell me is that they are back ordered and they don't know when they will be coming in. =Rick=

Yes! No one I talk to (dealer AND C= Express) seems to know for sure what I'm talking about, and I REALLY need them. If anything turns up, please tell me. Btw – do you have a part number on the update disk? Paul

Richard, I suspect you won't see the new monitor drivers until C= releases AmigaOS 3.1. Right now only developers have them. -Dave (via AutoPilot)

Do you have any idea what the new drivers are supposed to do, particularly, and when OS 3.1 might be expected? Waiting with baited breath, Paul

Paul, The newer monitor drivers give you much better control over screen postitioning and amount of overscan. No more fiddling with monitor controls when switching screen modes. As to when 3.1 might be expected…can't say. -Dave (via AutoPilot)

Sounds excellent. Does it add more overscan than attainable w/ the current drivers, though? Paul

Paul, >>"Does it add more overscan than attainable w/ the current drivers, though?"<< Ummm…most likely! 8^) (Depends to an extent on the particular screen mode.) -Dave (via AutoPilot)

It sounds really good. I sent a disk out to some guy in Salt Lake City who I heard was distributing the drivers, so I _may_ get them any week now. Cue you all in then. Paul

Noone around here knows about the drivers… I wish C= would distribute them through CIS or some other service. Bob Comer — Cruising the nets on AutoPilot
