#A2000+A2630 Help

One of the users in our local Amiga user group is having a problem
with his A2000. Any suggestions would be more than welcome:
system: A2000 (Rev. 6.2 motherboard), 1MB CHIP RAM, Grandslam HD
controller with 4MB 16-bit RAM, Quantum 105MB HD, A2630
accelerator with Rev. 7 ROMs and 4MB 32-bit RAM,
Kickstart V2.04, WorkBench V2.1
problem: can access all 4MB of 32-bit RAM and 1MB CHIP RAM while in
68030 mode; as soon as they try to use the additional 4MB of
16-bit RAM on the Grandslam, their system crashes, but putting
the system in 68K only mode is able to access the 4MB 16-bit
RAM without any problem (4MB of 32-bit RAM is disabled); all
memory maps into the "68K 9MB" range when using accelerator
and it all appears as 16-bit "merged" memory (ARTM and Sysinfo
do not show any 32-bit RAM)
You have an addressing conflict. The 32 bit ram is trying to configure
into the same addresses as the 16 bit RAM.
There ought to be a jumper on the 2630 let lets you map the RAM outside of
the 9M 68K address range.

Hmm – interesting idea (A2630 jumper to map RAM outside base 68K address
