Dear David.. Thanks for the tip regarding "Fontmonger" I just
rushed right out and bought it. Now my problen is what kind of a font
is the font in AApro ? Called the people at Ares that produced
Fontmonger they never heard of AApro and can only suggest that the
fonts are some type of Bastard Geo Works font. Since you spoke like a
knowledgeable person in your message perhaps you can enlighten me on
this subject. I am in now over $100.00 smackers and getting deaper
all the time. Additionally I ran my mouth to my customer and said
something stupid like "OH yea I can do that".
Jim,
Fontmonger won't convert to anything AAPro will use except Postscript.
You should also make sure that the font you're converting is
privately owned since fonts are licensed, if you convert the format
and obtain money for doing so without owning such rights, it's a
felony.
Since I'm assuming you only called for the fastest way to do
conversions I wanted to make sure that you fully understood
everything.
Another thing to keep in mind is that AAPro does not currently
support extended characters in their postscript format. So depending
upon the manufacturer, you'll need to go in and map the extended
characters to an ISO Latin 1 ASCII format and perform a conversion to
AAPro's native format. Corel doesn't tend to use staight ISO Latin1
extensions so if your cambodian client is going beyond the standard
94 characters you'll need his keyboard mapping for whatever Cambodian
implementation he's currently using.
Fontmonger from Area software will do the trick. It's probably the
cheapest solution.
