Title : TextPlus, TeX frontend word processor
Keywords: TEXTPLUS TEX LATEX PASTEX KNUTH WP STEPPLER
TextPlus, TeX frontend word processor that provides facilities for
tables, lists, mailmerge, footnotes, inclusion of IFF graphics, an
ARexx-Port (111 commands) and full OS2.0/3.0 compatibility. Makes use
of PasTeX, Georg Hessmann's Amiga implementation of TeX. New features
are support for LaTeX, Make-Index (automatic index generation) and
printing via PRT: TeX is not needed for the latter). Version 4.10.
Shareware. By Martin Steppler
Yes, but what _is_ TeX? Maybe I'm in the minority here – maybe I'm the
lone idiot – but I have no idea what it is. The docs for ToolManager seem
to involve TeX, but in different, confusing ways.

TeX is a page/document creation language created by Donald Knuth.
A formatting language? As in Renderman, only for documents? Is it
some kind of new or in-progress standard, or what?
if you are interested I can mail you a short description about TeX
and LaTeX (you should be able to read german), otherwise I will
search for an english description.
