Everything I've heard about disc cleaners is "don't". If you do, exercise
EXTREME caution and make sure none of the fluid comes in contact with any
part of the drive. Better: treat your discs with great respect and don't
let them get dirty. In seven years, I have never had a need to clean a
disc. If an accident happens, and a big smudge gets on a disc, try a very
soft dry cloth first.
I have heard of Smrtdrive being used, and there is another clled
Speedcache+. I am not familiar with the other package you named.
Hope this helps! – Rich Bowers
Thank you for your prompt reply With regard to the Cache's have you any
experiance with CD Speedway? Once again thanks for your help.
Rich, you are saying that the MS Smartdrive will cache a CD-ROM????

Bill:
I must've mis-spoke myself. Isn't there a caching product with a similar
name?
Rich
*I* don't know, for God's sake, you're in charge here! <grin, duck, and
run>

Bill:
>>you're in charge here!<< Sure, just call me Big Nurse <g>.
Seriously, I am not a pc user and thought the product had been mentioned as
a cacher, but I probably jumped in too quickly. Sorry about that. I hope
I didn't lead anyone astray.
Best – Rich
I'm not a programmer, but it seems only a matter of time before somebody
comes out with such a shareware product, I'd sure pay 25 bucks for it…
