To come back to your question: yes the slower Mitsumi works with Photo CS.
My priblem was an old driver version. Now everythin is fine.

I am proud to announce that you have the FASTER, BETTER Mitsumi drive; my
drive (I think its called 003) is rated at (are you sitting down?), 1/3 stroke
800 ms, full stroke 1000 ms (do you realize that 1000 ms is actually 1 second).
Good luck with your nifty, speedy, Kodak photo-compatible CD Drive.
Know anyone that wants a slow mitsumi, used, cheap?
