In one of your previous messages, you mentioned that you can get the Grolier
Encyclopedias for $60 to $100. Is this the MPC version, The cheapest I've seen
it advertised (not in a bundle with a CDROM drive) is $230. I'm not familiar
with Computer Shopper (but of course I live in the middle of nowhere!). Could
you supply a phone number for a dealer for this product?

I've seen it available in that range on BBS networks such as NANET, RHYME, FIDO
etc., Robert. Incidentally that was both the DOS and Windows versions. I
believe the Windows may have the MPC trademark but I'm not sure as I have the
DOS. Also you will usually find it called The Software Toolworks Multimedia
Encyclopedia but not to worry, it is the same thing.
Look for it in the BBS nets, your local BBS For Sale conference or local
computer flea markets. It should be widely available from the messages I've
seen on the nets.
Computer Shopper is a HUGE mag (several pounds and about 9 by 13 inches) that
should be available at most cigarette/magazine stores and some computer stores.
Computer stores tend to shun it because it mainly carries direct sales ads,
something which most computer stores would rather you not know about. A good
alternative is Computer Sources. Both are good because their articles are of
general interest, the ads comprehensive and the writing level understandable
even to a klutz such as myself. Cheers!
