#TERM workings?
3 messages in this thread
I've downloaded both Term 3.2 and 3.3 for evaluation as replacements
for my current comm program, but in both versions the MODEM "panel"
under the SETTINGS menu item presents a screen which extends
apparently off the bottom of the screen, so that the Save option is
unavailable. This prevents me from calling out at all. Apparently
every other item on the program works fine; it must be me. Does
anyone know what's happening?
It's probably a combination of both your screens font size and using
NTSC:Hires Screen Settings. I suggest you switch to
NTSC:Hires-interlaced, under the Screen Menu. The flicker is
annoying as hell, but the menus all behave a lot better when you do.
It could also be that on a PAL screen it would work as Term was
developed in Germany which nearly ONLY uses PAL. another method to
get at the bottom of the screen, which sometimes works, is to press
the left amiga button and then to press the left mouse button and
just drag the screen up. It could be that it won't work with your
setup if you changed the workbench pref settings.
