#Sales Staff Fired?

Anybody know if their is any truth to the rumour that NewTek's sales
Staff have all either QUIT or been FIRED??? I believe this is in
relation to the folks at Alpha Video? Whats the poop? My local dealer
is the one who told me this rumour and that they are awaiting news
from NewTek.
I had previously read on the Amiga_Video echo that the folks at
Alpha Video were suposed to relocate to Topeka, did this have anything
to do with the firings and folks quitting?
Or is this all some Ridiculous BS that someone is spreading? Thanx
I hadn't heard that story before you mentioned it, but I do know that
a girl from NewTek called me several times this week to get my serial
number, so she could get info on the new stuff out to me. The last
time she called was yesterday morning. I finally popped my cover and
got the serial, and called back early afternoon yesterday. The person
who answered said "Uh, uh…, she's not in the office right now, but
I'll take a message.." She didn't call back yesterday or today;
stuck me as kinda odd, since she had so eagerly called me several
times this week……
I fax'd an info request to a guy I'd been in touch with a NewTek
sale, and he never got back to me . . . . Hmmm. I'll call him on
Monday & let everyone know who answers. :^)
I spoke with someone who said the whole sales dept. had been given a choice:
move to Topeka, or find a new job..
Thanx for the info Jerry, if I hear anything new on this NewTek
Rumour I'll be sure to post it. Hopefully I'll get something concrete

First of all, Alpha Video and NewTek Sales are NOT the same company.
The owners of Alpha Video were (notice the 'were') the Sales managers
for NewTek. That is/was the only `relation' Alpha had to NewTek.
George and Reid Johnson (of Alpha Video) are no longer the Sales
Managers for NewTek.
Other members of the NewTek sales team located in MN are moving back
to Topeka.
Was this due in any way to George going to various Amiga dealers
around the country a couple of months ago and suggesting they drop
Amiga and become Toaster Workstation dealers?
