Hi Every Toshiba 3401 users, I just recently joined the camp of Toshiba 3401. But I am very disappointed because I have not yet to make the cd-rom drive to work properly without the the right driver for it. Toshiba didn't ship a driver with it, and I'm just too cheap ( or righteous ) to spend extra money for CorelSCSI for just one device. I appreciate and welcome any bright, frugal ideas. Sincerely, Thang Tran

Thang— The reason Toshiba and others do *NOT* include a software driver is because they don't know whose SCSI adapter you are going to use with the CD-ROM drive. Each SCSI adapter on the market requires its own driver for the 3401, or you can purchase CorelSCSI!, which works with ASPI compatible drivers. I don't know who manufactured your SCSI adapter, but check with them on a driver for the 3401. Most manufacturers do charge for the driver.
