I cannot open any Kodak Photo CD images from their Sampler with my first generation Creative Labs Cd Rom drive, attempting to do so with Adobe Photoshop 2.5 running under Win 3.1. Kodak sees no reason for my problem, but others have suggested that my drive will not read the Kodak disk no matter what. Adobe PS 2.5 has the ability to open such files without any additional software, but I get no where. Any answers? Larry Kay

Larry, Do you have the driver that makes the SB CDROM XA capable? If not, you need it. Its available in this forum in Lib. 7. Title: SBPCDX.EXE. I've been using it for a while and it seems to work fine. Doug

Yup. I found it late last night, and as soon as I put SBP-PCD.SYS in place of the older SBPCD.SYS statement in the config.sys file, it worked like a charm…..a very slow charm. BTW. I have asked someone here if the new Toshiba (200ms and 300mb thupt) is Phot CD and multisession capable. No response yet. Do you know? Larry

Laurence, I think that the driver here was a beta version. We should have the release version available in the next few days. Watch for an announcement. Nick

Glad you're up and running (crawling?). I don't know about any other drives, as its all I can do to manage the one that I have. Doug
