Ok, there are allot of rumors floating around about the upgrades
for toaster3.0 and toaster 4000. I know, at least I think, that
NewTek has pushed the release date back to june 1st I'm sure someone
here has heard more than I. Brad Hayes

Our local dealer just let me know that he would be willing to do a
demo on the 4000Toaster at our next users group meeting (June 12th)
since he would have his by then. So it must be close! BTW he said
that purchasers of the 4000 Toaster would receive their Toaster
software installed on a 120meg IDE hard drive! Just plug it in and
away go!
I got a flyer from the local Toaster Dealer and they are going to demo
the Toaster4000 5-17-93, which is tomorrow, and I will definately be
there.
Mark Randall has been on the Amiga_Video fido Echo of late and says
certain dealers will have Demo machine possibly by next week. Mere
Mortals should be able to get them in mid June if all goes well he
says. Now if this is someone pretending to be Mark Randall then
everytrhing I said may be Rubbish.
Yes, this is correct. I just saw the T4000 installed in a A4000 and I was
very impressed. The color wipes and real-time anim playback are GREAT!!!
LW/Modeler are also very impressive. You can actually make your own wipes
with LW anims and you will see some of those at a demo.

Does making your own wipes work with the non AGA toasters? Does this
also include DVE wipes?
Thanks,

I haven't done any myself but I would think that it does require AGA since
they are in color and color wipes are AGA ONLY. As far as I know you can't
make any DVEs yet.

I have heard that HT Electronics in Sunnyvale, CA will be getting
several T4000 units at their store next week – though I'll believe it
when I see it. Any word on delivering Toaster software via SyQuest?
No I have not heard anything about Toaster software on SyQuest. But
I'll see Nick (my dealer) this week and ask him.
Thanks,
I'd been in touch with a sales rep, but he is no longer w/ NewTek (he
seems to have gone the way of a large majority of them in the last few
weeks – out the door.)
Getting the Toaster software on 44 or 88MB SyQuests would be alot easier
and more reliable for a number of Toaster owners out there.
