Steve Not a bad idea, but we kind of like keeping some things a secret for a bit longer. The next newsletter that should be going out this month will detail the majority of the new features. I say "majority" we will probably be making changes even up to the last minute. At the time the newsletter ships I will be glad to post a message here giving everyone a better idea of what is going on with Imagine 3.0. I admit that keeping everyone in the dark is a bit hard to take, but there are some good reasons for this. Not only do things change but we never seem to be able to meet our deadlines, as you might guess we are bit behind already. SO, for now all that I will say is this, Imagine 3.0 will be a quantum leap forward for 3D software, it will be easier to use, faster and have more features than will even fit in one newsletter. Thanks for your concern. Soon something wonderful is going to happen, is that a line form a movie or did they know about 3.0 along time ago. Mike

<…Soon something wonderful is going to happen…> I caught your last post and thought I'd say howdy! Mike <HAL>vorson, hmmmmm? I believe that was a line from "2001 – A Space Odyssey" so technically it hasn't been said yet. I hope 3.0 comes out before the movie's time frame I'll be much too old to care about 3D any more…maybe not. BTW, are there any airshows near you that you normally go to? I wouldn't mind taking a Jet up your way (Govt expense of course) to check out your operation. And show you what a real jet looks like. Alan Henry – Attitude hold on AP

Howdy Mike. A Stone Imagineer here with a wee problem. I bought Imagine 1.1 when it first came out and registered it, Never recieved one of these Mythical Newsletters. Then 2.0 was announced here on CI$ and I immediately Called you guys and ordered the Upgrade no Problem and Still have never recieved one of these Mythical Newsletters. Could you PLEASE, when Time Permits, check to make certain I'm down as a registered owner of Imagine 2.0? And if possible could ya send a newsletter my way. I feel left out. The Address on the Registration Card should be current. Thanx a Ton. Midgard Graphics 718-714-1423

Howdy Paul, hows yer imagining coming along? Any new Trek objects? Someone on Amiga_Video Fido echo says they did a Nice Vorlon Ship from Babylon 5 and they'll be putting it up on Studio Amiga soon. I believe the Gent's name was Robert Livingston. I haven't been doing much myself of late. Just fiddling around here and there like on Mike Stortz idea for GROWING a Rainbow along a path.

This is the busiest time of the year for me (Remember I am a teacher and run a program for gifted students in grades 6-8.) with all kinds of projects coming to closure. Right now DTP and video editing projects are eating up all my spare time. But summer IS coming! So stand by! 😉

Summer Time when the Weather is Dry you can look right up and Touch the Sky. T-Rex Rules. Anywho I STILL have NOT compiled my new Demo reel for some reason. Guess the nice weather is causing lapses in my 3D Work. Know of a Source of Good INEXPENSIVE or better yet PD Dinosaur Objects for Imagine or other format? A local BBS to me has some INCREDIBLE Robot objects in 3D Studio format, it may force me to upgrade to Interchange Plus and get the 3D Studio module just to play with them. Do you know if Pixel Pro 3D supports 3D STudio models? Thanx

Not surprisingly, PixPro 3D does NOT support 3D Studio formats. Grr. So what's the name of this BBS with the 'INCREDIBLE' robots? Grin.

The BBS is the same one I mentioned in Regards to that "BIG Project" the Inspirivison BBS at 718-854-6411 the MODELS themselves are NOT online, only GIF's of them. I plan to pester the Sysop into submission since he created the objects I should be able to Weasel them out of him. Maybe Even get him to release them to PD. Oh Well Scratch the plan to find someone with Pixel 3D locally to convert the 3D studio models for me. Tho I've heard so many complaints about missing faces and other weirdness with Pixel Pro that I'm not certain the models would be useful after that anyway. Thanx

Pixel Pro does not handle 3D Studio. It handles DXF very poorly, too. What conversion path were you planning?
#57175From: Peter GreciMay 18, 1993 11:49 AM
Well as you know I went for yer Upgrade as well as the 3D Studio Module. I'd hoped to have a local Sysop I know with Pixel 3D do the conversion for me but since Pixel Pro doesn't support 3D Studio nor is it all that great at the versions it does support I scratched that idea. Will be awaiting my Package from ya'll anxiously.

No, but I'll keep an eye out for any dino objects. What we need is a good home version of a 3D digitizer!
#57136From: Peter GreciMay 17, 1993 7:03 PM
Animatrix $90 3D Digitizer sounds like just the trick. Unfortunately I don';t have a Drawing Tablet which is required to us this Gadget. If I find any PD Dino's I'll be sure to send them up here. I hope Imagine 3.0 Does have a bones feature similar to Lightwave 3.0 since that would give me 1 Animateable High Quality Dino. The Triceratops that came with Imagine 2.0 that is.

According to my "old" newsletter, Imagine 3.0 does indeed have a comparable "bones" feature. -= Vance =-

Mike Halvorsen or Rick Rodriguez mentioned it here too about the Bones Feature. I am DYING to get Imagine 3.0
