Talking about the death of UNIX, Does anyone know if Linux will become available ? Can't remember who said so or where the freely distributable UNIX clone will come from. I think Mark Brown – JUMPDISK made the original mention. Seppi Evans – U.K.

There are a couple of net sites that are still talking about Amiga Linux development. I personally have no idea, but it is still being hyped on Genie. -Jonathan

Development still seems to be going on, on both Linux and Mach. Linux only works with the ram disk so far, and I'm not sure how far they've come with Mach. (In case anyone doesn't know: Mach is Carnegie Mellons freely distributable distributed Posix compatible operating system. Last week the first PD port of X-Windows was made available on a couple of internet sites. I haven't tried it yet, but it is still only monochrome and requires commodores inet.library. If anyone has tried it can they please report back about it. Pelle Braendgaard Aqua Multimedia, Cardiff, UK
