I am writing to as about a problem I have encountered running FLC animations created with Imagine for the PC. When I create 640×480, 256 color animations and try to play them with the Windows Media Player using the AAPLAY.DLL the animations flicker as the frames are displayed. I am wondering if this has to do with the pallete that the vga card uses. I got better results using the 16 color display mode on another PC video card. Could you also please recommend any public domain programs that will play the FLC files in DOS. Thanks.

Hi James, there is a very good .fli and .flc player (play.exe)for DOS. It's from trilobyte and it's available in the autodesk forum or in the graphdev forum. It uses as much memory as available on the computer and if not enough to hald the whole animation it plays form the HD. There is also a .flc player from autodesk (aaplayhi) also in the autodesk forum. hope it helps -David
