Jonathan, I dl'ed your tape library program also… mainly because I've been hacking on mine since the 8-bit Atari days, 🙂 so I like to see what other programmers have come up with. Adding a field for a tape number or identifier is a good idea. Like Robert, I record lots of things on a single tape. Some of my tapes might have 50 individual segments to index. One of the more amusing things I had in the Atari version was a "topics" field. The topics field just contained 4 one-byte tokens that were indexes into a list of the actual topic names. When the program started it read in all of the topic fields from a separate file. The end result was that you could ask for "Star Trek" and "Computers" and get a list of the appropriate episodes. I'm working on translating this into Cando. It uses a couple of list objects, one to hold the available topics and a second to hold the selected ones. Jim

Okay, then… it's settled. I will start working on adding a field for tape number. The topic you speak of sounds like the category on mine. You can use whatever you wish for the topic name (Star Trek or whatever) and then perform a search. The list at the bottom will then only display those that match. Thanks for the input! Jon
