Anyone tried the new Supra Turbo for the A500 yet?
Mark
…still waiting for mine here, will report when it's installed (A570, ICD
540, ATOnce+) for performance and compatibility.

Thanks, I'll be waiting for your report!!!

I've just installed one on my A2000. It's easy to use, and significantly
faster, but it doesn't work with my SCSI adapter. I have an old M.A.S.T.
Fireball with fairly recent (V2.1) firmware, and the Turbo28 just doesn't like
it. When I finally got Supra on the phone, they had no help to offer (and
hadn't even heard of the card). Tests using the floppies were pretty
impressive, especially considering the price. I may finally replace the old
Fireball rather than return the Turbo28.
I also received a SupraTrbo 28 a couple of weeks ago. The first problem I
encountered was that the "Install" program wouldn't! the next day The physical
switch became inactive. Apparently someone cut the conecting pins on a
diagonal. The device was latched in the "Fast" mode. I FINALLY got the Supra
tech on the phone and they asked that it be returned for repair. They could
not cross ship or replace it due to a lack of product. I received it back from
Supra and the pins have been replaced but the device remains locked in the Fast
Mode. The repair that I boot up in the slow mode since I developed some
Binddrivers errors. Problem is that the device boots in the Fast mode
regardless of the switch position and with the Supra software removed and the
turbo 28 comments deleated from the User-Startup! Other then that it works
well. everything seems to be running much faster. Since it worked as it was
supposed to when I first installed it I think there may be hope for the
product. The BIG problem is Supra!!!! Getting through to them is next to
impossible. The only line that is answered by a real person and is not
constantly busy is the order lin Is anyone from Supra listening???? They
mentioned to me that they also have online support here and on some other
networks. But I have heard from a couple of peolple that th left messages
regarding their modems a year ago and have still not reeived a responce! I
recently dealt with Practical Peripherals customer service. Now that is one
heck of a wonderful company to work with. and they answer the messages on the
PPI forum here on CIS the very next day. What a contrast.
Supra has a section in the MODEMVENDORS area. They will answer questions
there. It is rare that they come over to the Amiga sections.

Have you had any success obtaining replies from them in the Modemvendors area,
the Supra Forum or anywhere else??? I was given a FAX number and told that is
the best way to get through to them , BUT so far no responce. When I wrote "are
you listening Supra" I did not actually think that a Supra rep checks this
area. Just trying to let others now my frustr which I am am hearing echoed
from others.
