New A2000 Power Up / Video Toaster 4000 Programs!
Beginning May 10th and running through June 30th C-A is offering a new Power Up
Promotion for A2000 Owners (doesn't say anything about A3k owners). With the
front cover of your A2000 manual (serial number written on it) you can get into
AGA for;
A4000-30/4/120 $1599 A4000-40/6/120 $2349!
Subsequent purchases of a NewTek Video Toaster 4000 with C-A coupons can earn
additional savings at time of purchase – Details coming soon.
Note: This is probably the shortest Power Up Promo I've seen C-A do… I don't
think this one will be extended.

You mean I give them the cover from my manual and I get to keep my A2000! When
I got my A2000 I had to turn in my A1000 for the credit. If I understand you
correctly, it sounds too good to be true.

Not a great bargain on the 4000-040. Computability is selling the 4000-040
without any requirements than a check for $2499. Their price on the 4000-030,
however, is $1895, so that seems not a bad deal.
They probably have units left from the introductory Power Up program. The price
they will pay on their next order of A4ks will be higher than $2499 and they
will have to charge more to make a profit.

Perhaps, but that would be unusual for Computability. Still, if the 2000 power
up is short-lived, then it really won't make that much difference. Anyway, just
thought you might be interested in knowing that cheaper pricing was available
without the trade-in (power up, or whatever).
