PGP20 Encryption

I understand there is a file encryption progam called PGP20 written by
Bill Zimmerman available for the IBM. Does anyone know if it is available
for the Amiga?
According to an article about PGP 2.0 in _Mondo 2000_ it has been ported to the
Amiga. It's available at a site on Internet (I don't have the FTP address).

Thanks for the information. I've never used Internet, as such, I
haven't a clue where to begin. May there's a file here I could download to
get an explanation regarding Internet, and it's use. Any help from you or
any one else would be appreciated. Thanks.

I also saw the Mondo article and have been looking for PGP. While I'm not
currently on the Net, I know a bit about it. The file here which will
give you the most information on InterNet is SETUPV.LHA in AmigaUser
Library 5: Communications. It is, however, 710K. Smaller files extracted
from the archive are also in the library. Use the Amiga File Finder to
look for keywords INTERNET, AMIGANOS, and FTP. Probably the best place to
start is INBEG.LZH (53K). I haven't gone to the trouble of setting up
AmigaNOS to use InterNet, as it looks to take a fair amount of time & I've
been rather busy. I've been trying to get info on mail access (available
through CIS) to FTP sites to UL & DL files. If I ever find that info I'll
send it to you or maybe just UL it for everyone. Hope the AmigaNOS info
is helpful.

the only SERIOUS Amiga crypto software is LuCypher1 and LuCypher2 from MegageM.
So Call 805-349-1104 to get the product info. CAVEAT EMPTOR anyone who uses a
PD encryption system! Why would anyone believe it actually works? (unless you
can see the source code and verify it!). Also see my RAND6 file in AmigaTech
forum – amazing powerful random number generator you can use to make your own
encryption system. I have done so and have a file encryptor using RAND
techniques which encrypts files up to 2 megabytes per second! Of course, it
decrypts
'em too at the same rate. LuCypher is the only commercial package I know of
for Amiga. NEVER NEVER NEVER use a PD encryption program unless you can verify
the source code. Don't be cute if you really want data security. Spend a few
bucks and get it from an expert, not a hacker. Even one commercial package for
the PC was BADLY flawed and broken in minutes by an expert analyst. And it was
being sold by a top Big-8 accounting firm! CAUTION!
I appreciate the warning. I don't know anything about LuCypher1 and 2,
but I know PGP is compatible with it's PC counter part, are the LuCypher
programs?
If you email me your address I'll send product info. It might or might not be
'compatible' – good chance it is, at least for ascii files. you don't want to
do PK stuff on large files anyway. The algorithms are universal and I'd bet
compatibility is inherent in that fact.
