How can I tell if the clock header on my A1200 is one of those installed
incorrectly or not? On my A1200, it occupies the righthand half (the side
opposite from pin 1) of a larger set of holes in the PC board, presumably
intended for a nonexistent chip RAM upgrade.
That is correct! My first 1200 had the pins on the left side so my 1200
A-clock board could not work. From what I understand, the 1200 was probably
going to have 1 meg chip ram expandable to 2 megs of chip ram.
I guess Commodore made a wise move!

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear that my clock header is "correct". I did,
however, finally get the May AmigaWorld and couldn't help but notice that
Microbotics and others have come up with neat goodies (with clock!) for the
trap door expansion slot. Decisions, decisions.
