I can't get Quarterback to backup to floppy with turning verify write off. It just gives me the error "Verify failure on df0:" What am I doing wrong?

Erron, What is the version number on the Quarterback that you are using? Make sure that you have applied all applicable patches that are in our library in this section. Randy Brooks Central Coast Software A division of New Horizons Software, Inc.

Erron, Please give me a complete discription of your configuration, Processor, Dos Version, Type of drives etc. Also check your WB Startup and User Startup for any utilities that patch into trackdisk. I have tried several times to duplicate the conditions you describe but have not had any failures during backups. That being said I have to state that verify off is not my personal favorite as far as backup options go. To me it is like saying "I don't care if I back this up or not!" While most of the time media performs flawlessly, yesterdays perfect disk may fail today for no apparant reason. Randy Brooks Central Coast Software A division of New Horizons Software, Inc.

Randy, Follwing your advice, I tracked fdown the culprit – a program called HyperCache, which has proved pretty much useless to me anyway, as I have an accelerated machine. I have removed it and suffer the problem no more. Many thanks, Erron
