I have a few questions which remain unanswered despite sending physical
mail to SoftWood a month ago and posting some of them here.
1) I cannot print properly on my DeskJet 500. The top and bottom margins
are off, with the top margin being only about .5" rather than 1". A
workaround which seems to give approximately correct results is to change
the top margin to 1.5" and the bottom to .5". This is with FCIIr2 and 3.0
as distributed with my A4000. Default printer prefs, default page setup.
2) How can I "attach" graphics to text. If, for example, I want a box
around a paragraph or an illustration next to a particular paragraph, how
can I do that such that the box or illustration doesn't stay in the same
place when editing causes the text to move?
3) What is the difference between Proper Grammer 1 and 2? I already have
2, but I don't _see_ any differences and I am curious.

About prob. 2)
Final Copy does not treat everything as objects. This is for Desk Top
Publishing systems. If everything you made on a FC screen was an object,
we could cut and paste and lock whole segments, and move them as such. I
am sure they are working on this.
They will not confirm or deny this activity, but it is the only real
route for the program. This most important thing to remember about this
is, that if you complicate things too much, they are no longer so simple
to operate.
Right now FCII is relatively clean and easy to operate. Once you start
adding such features, the simplicity goes away. There is too much to
remember. As I have suggested to them, they should have a Final Copy
introductory version and a more complex version for advanced users. A lot
of people don't need those fancy gadgets….and the people who do own
Pagestream.

Your answers:
1) I haven't heard of this particular problem. Which driver are you
using? Is it a color DeskJet or black & white?
2) You can't. I don't know if it's going in a future version, but it
is on the suggestion list.
3) You should notice visual differences in the following areas: (a)
Rules On/Off requester was changed a little and (b) many more filetypes to
SAVE AS. The non-visual difference is that the actual grammar-checking
engine (which we don't write, but license) has been bug-fixed and beefed
up.
