Sorry to take so long to get back to you – I had to track down the
right people to answer your question. Apparently there are some
issues that need to be resolved before the driver can be made
available for testing – I couldn't get a definite answer from
anyone. I hate to say it again, but here goes: "Keep watching this
space for an announcement!!" Again, I'll let you know as soon as I
find out anything concrete.
Thanks. What's the story on the CDU-535? Latest on the grape vine is
that the CDU-31A will have drivers released soon, but that
development on the drivers for the older Sony Bus drives (like the
535) hasn't even been started and may never be. Can you give any
info on this? Thanks…

The only information I have on the 535 is that an OS/2 2.x device driver is
being developed by a third party (not Sony or IBM) and that driver will
probably be available sometime in the near future. I'm not aware of any plans
for the 535 under Windows NT, but that doesn't necessarily indicate that
development is not going on in that area.

Is there a help FORUM for Sony Rep's where someone actually KNOWS if there will
be a driver at any time in the future, when, etc.?
Why is it that everywhere I go, all I ever get is, "maybe, who knows, I'll get
back to you, etc." I paid good money for my Sony product. Doesn't that at least
deserve a flat out, "sorry pal, you're screwed," instead of better than a year
of, "maybe, who knows, I'll get back to you, etc?"
If someone would have the guts to tell me and all of the others we could at
least make a decision! Right now, if I don't get any info soon the decision is
going to have to be that I can't count on Sony support, and that I'll have to
go with a company whose support I can count on.
Please stop me from having to make such a rash decision!

PMFJI, but I assume that the CDU-6201 (DAK/BSR/whoever) falls into this bus
driver category? Thanks!

The CDU-6201 _is_ in the same category as the 535, so hopefully any drivers for
the 535 will also work on the 6201.
