I'm wishing you guys never knew windows existed. PLEASE do not consider making a windows version of 3d studio….(still not impressed with the ACAD version)

Hmmmm…that's funny. ALL the ACAD guys I know and deal with are VERY impressed with ACAD/Windows! I messed with it the other day and was quite impressed with the speed, considering the GUI overhead… -Alan Iglesias

Alan, the Acad guys I know, even the ones who love Windows, cannot tolerate the speed penalty that Window causes – especially on large files <g>.

Maybe my guys are all small file guys…………….. -Alan

Maybe. It really bogs down on large files apparently.

Why? The windows version runs very fast – out performing DOS in some areas. The interface is very well done and you can draw just the same as in the DOS version. A line is still a line is still a line. On a fast machine it performs wonderfully. If you have less than 12MB it may be sluggish though. Why don't you like it. Leave some examples – we have customers who love it. With OLE and DDE it is infinitely more powerful than its DOS counterpart. Dave Mennenoh

Hey! It's wonderful to hear you guys raving about the Windows version of AutoCAD! Unsolicited praise! CompUSA — any comments? Nik
