GVP and the PC
5 messages in this thread
I was flipping through the new AV Video issue, and saw a GVP ad that I'd never
seen before. It was for a new G-Lock genlock card…for the PC!
Interesting! I wonder what else GVP has up its sleeves for clones? SCSI
adapters, perhaps?
I hope that GVP does well with this product, although not too well 🙂
Jonathan,
I have a friend here in King Of Prussia PA that says GVP is hiring a fair
number of developers for PC products. Personally, I think it's great that
they are continuing to broaden their product lines to maximize growth. I
think they will still do great things for Amiga!

Just to make sure there's no concern, I want to make it clear that we still
have lots up our sleeves for the Amiga here at GVP! Our entry into the PC
market was simply a natural part of our growth as a company.
Regards, Paul.
If their PC things take off, then the Amiga support and product lines will
fall into near neglect. Examples, GoldDisk, MSS, Impulse, Anjon … (and
I didn't even hit the gamers!)
I think they probably are hedging CBM going under, (stock still dropping)
and probably realize that it is easier to grow in an environment were the
manufacuter of the host for you products is n ot a single point failure
and a rather schitzophrenic one at that!
