Hi All! Are there any shareware programs to view Kodak Photo CDs? Also, I would like to capture each image into a file for use as a BLOB object in a Paradox/Win application. Is this possible? Thanks for any help. Alan

Alan, Over in graphics support, they have Graphics Workshop for Windows, in I think, the Format Conversions section. In general it's a nice package and supports Photo-cd. I don't know enough about paradox to comment about storing in BLOB's but they support lot's of formats. Glen Chapman

Hi Glen! Thanks for the information. I DL'd Graphics Workshop but did not see support for photo CD in a brief first pass. I'll check it out in more detail. In the meantime, can you, or anyone tell me what the format of the photo CD disk is? I can not read the drive with any of the utilities or commands that I have. All other CDs that I have appear as just another partition, yet the photo CD is unreadable. Thanks again for your help, ale

Alan, Did you get the Windows version of Graphics Workshop, I don't know if the DOS version has PCD support. <<Can't read disc>> Only certain drives/controllers/drivers have PCD read capability. The combo must be 'XA ready'. The easiest way to find out is to GO KODAK and download the list of certified configurations. When it was in other forums it was named 'Kodak.txt' Glen

Glen: The file you refer to is still called KODAK.TXT, and it's in Library #7. Best – Rich
