How would I reach the people you named in your response (18-May-93) to my
comments on Visual Link?
I would like you to read my comments to Craig Sharp and to Donald (posted today)
I have too much respect for Autodesk's marketing savvy to conclude that
introducing Visual Link in it's present state was just a blunder. What's
the advantage to using this product? How is this product supposed to be
used? It almost looks like ADESK wanted to just get something to market and
then let market forces hammer the product into shape.
Obviously, there's a great need for a product like this, but this product
ain't it.

The others I mentioned from Product Support are usually on CompuServe, which is
the best way to contact them. Because Product Support is limited to calls from
dealers only, they try to have 2 – 3 folks up on the ASOFT forum daily.

We bought Visual Link because there are still a few modelling tricks that can
be done better in AutoCAD, particularly with AutoLisp. I want a 3DS/Acad
translator to do a few things:
1) needs to be automatable with AutoLisp
2) needs to be able to handle big files easily
3) needs to support layer/object, entity/element model
4) needs to weld verticies on export to 3DS
5) needs preserve animation info on import
6) needs to be able to create shaper and loft files
7) needs to be able to run the text screen without the mouse diver
8) needs to provide command line functionality
