What about Florida?
#44762From: SysOp Jeffrey PikeMay 27, 1993 12:28 AM
Rick – As far as I know, the locations in the announcement I posted are the only ones for this go round. If this series is successful, I suppose they may consider doing others at different locations some time in the future.

Jeffrey, I've started a user's group down here in florida. ANy chance we can get a copy of the cd-rom mentioned for our June 14th meeting?
#44779From: SysOp Jeffrey PikeMay 27, 1993 10:00 AM
I don't know, Rick. I'll ask for you.
#44841From: Nik Grant [adesk]May 28, 1993 9:09 AM
Rick, Can you give me (us) a little more info about the Florida user's group? I had thought we had posted a text file listing all the users groups, and was looking for it to make sure you're in. (Couldn't find it, so I'll have to check why.) Can you let us know: contact person, phone number, address of meeting place (or whatever's appropriate), how often you meet, and other things you might consider relevant. I work in Product Support at Autodesk, and it's good to have resources like users groups for our customers out there. Thanks.

Jeffrey, My husband and I called the 800 number several days ago to sign up for the seminar in Seattle on 6/25. We left our request with the answering device but have not yet heard from Adesk yet regarding availability. Is it still on? Is there still room? Thanks, Robin Link

Robin, The road show is on. If you don't hear from someone soon, call your "friendly" 3DS dealer and tell them your troubles. They can call their contact and "shake things up" a'bit Ang

Ang, Thanks! I received three responses – unfortunately I haven't figured out how to respond to all three of you with the same message. Nik (70421,76) said the Seattle conference was full but there might be a second session. Thanks again, Robin

Robin, You could always make an arrangement to see 3DS at a local dealer after the seminar. I'm not aware of any dealers that are on this forum which service Washington State and thus am unaware of any which would "stand out". If you want to let your finger's do the walking, you could always call Adesk, get a'hold of the Multimedia Sales person for that area and ask for a suggestion. Ang

Robin: You could talk to Dan or Oma Kemmis at NW Tech Systems in Bellevue. (206) 641-3282 Dan (Dr. Pixel) Kemmis is on the Autodesk Multimedia Dealer Advisory Board with me, and knows what he is talking about. Tell him I said hi, Greg Pyros

Robin – The seminar is still on, but I don't know about availability. I assume there is still room, though, at this early date. I will send your message to the seminar organizers to be sure that you get attention.

Jeffrey, Thanks very much for the response. My husband, Chad, and I live in New Jersey and we were looking into the New York conference but the day (6/21) conflicted with a meeting he had. Soooo…Since we both love Yachats, Oregon, we decided to check out Seattle. We already booked our reservations for planes, hotels, etc, but we can cancel the Weston reservation, I think without penalty, since AT&T recommends them to us for business travel (we both work for AT&T – He's a Director and I'm a low level manager who buys a lot of computer stuff). How about the New York conference? Can we get 2 seats for 6/21/93? Thanks again for the response, Robin P.S. Sorry about the "guilt trip" routine – had to give it a shot. Oh well…… so we spend another day on the Beach…

I noticed that the SEATTLE seminar is full, and there is a waiting list. There may be a second class scheduled, but I don't know. I've passed your message to the Multimedia department so that the organizers know of your concern. Nik

Nik, Thanks for the reply. Jeffery must have forwarded it! I sent him another and am wondering if we might get 2 seats for the New York seminar on 6/21. Do you know if there is still room? Thanks, Robin P.S. If a second session is scheduled for Seattle, could you let me know? That is the preference since we already made travel plans (primarily for vacation purposes)
