Need help with a problem I'm having with my Chinon CDS435 CD-Rom. It seem to be
doing a lots of retrys on Seeks & Re-Calubrations on reading anything from
programs to dir's. This happens also with Audio CD's on Ramdom selection plays.
I have clean the CD ROm Drive's lens using the CD-Lens cleaner disk supplied
also use compressed air to blow out any dust inside the Rom Drive via the caddy
door.
Any help in this matter is appreciated.

You might get lucky and discover that it's some simple problem (check your
interface cables, reseat the SCSI board, etc.) but from what you say I fear you
may have mechanical problems.
