I'm sorry. What does DMS mean? What software do I need for viewing? Andy

The extension DMS means the file is a compressed image is a bootable floppy disk. You'll need the program DMS201.SFX in the Archivers/Crunchers library of AmigaUser Forum to decompress.

I'm having trouble getting the demo to run, it freezes up in the begining with the bubbles, right when the word ANDROMEDA drops down. I'm using a stock A1200 and I also tried it on a stock A500 and an A1200 with '030 and 6 megs RAM. same results.

Jeff, Dunno, it ran fine here. Have you tried the usually tricks? Degrader, cache off, boot in PAL, etc.?

Degrader, >cache off, boot in PAL, etc.? i've tried degrader under WB2.1 & WB1.3 on my 3000 w/ 2 megs chip, 8 megs fast, and i get the same results that jeff did. using degrader to have the machine boot in pal (50hz) mode did the trick for my setup. bob – 1:226/600.3@fidonet.org – zooming by in his TIE Interceptor on AutoPilot
