#3.0 problems
3 messages in this thread
I just got 3.0 (PC version) in the mail and I'm having some problems with
it.
The problem I had with 2.9 was that every time I tried to make a non-looping
movie and play it back it would play back and then my computer would lock up.
I could play back looping animations fine, no problem–just hit the <ESC> key
and I'm back to Imagine.
Now, with 3.0, when I play back a non-looping animation a get an Imagine
dialog box afterward saying "Internal error." What does this mean?
This isn't the worst of it. In 2.9 the movies I made would play back at
the correct resolution and color depth. In 3.0 this is not the case! All my
24 bit animations will only play back in 8 bit color! Also, the resolution
sometimes changes–the movie frame will sometimes double in size from the
generated frame.
Let me stress that when I generate frames and then view them individually
they look just fine–correct resolution and color depth. It's only when I make
an movie that I have problems. Help!
Thanks,
Bernie
And another thing…what's with these VESA settings in the preferences
editor? Am I supposed to enter in some sort of information pertaining to my
video setup? Does this tie in with the Show Available SVGA Modes menu? And
would this have anything at all to do with my previously mentioned problem?
(which, by the way, is still unsolved) Help!
Thanks,
Bernie
