There are no "Proper" settings for allowing the system to reboot with a
cartridge in the drive. Please elaborate on your situation. If the system
will cold boot with a cartridge in the drive but not reboot, then you have some
type of cabling or termination problem that is locking the bus. Without more
information, this is all I can offer at this time. You should also contact
your supplying dealer, since he will have more experiences with these units
(I've had none).

Thanks for the response. No, my problem is not that the system will cold boot
with a cartridge in but not warm boot. If I cold or warm boot WITHOUT a
cartridge, then put a cartridge (disk) in after the booting sequence is over,
everything' s fine (sorry for the typo). But if I have a disk in already when I
boot, warm or cold, I get a "Not a DOS disk in drive DH150: (which is what I've
named the bernoulli). I get the sense that I have the wrong BOOTPRI…I've
tried '0', '-10' and '-128' but I'm reticent to keep changing them and
rewriting the RDB. Is that enough info? My dealer doesn't know squat. Thanks,

The BOOTPRI will not create this type of error message. It sounds like the
cartridge is not being read properly during the boot sequence. This could
still be cabling and/or termination. It could also just be a timing problem.
Set the BOOTPRI to -128 and leave it there. You should also try flip-floping
the SCSI ID numbers with the boot drive, so that they'll be accessed in a
different order. Some drives have SPINUP jumpers which can be changed to alter
the timing of your startup drives as well.
