Dear Gary, My 6 month old (approx) GVP IOEXTENDER board has gone to "never-never-land". It mounts OK… But any attempt at access now "freezes" the system… the s/n is TXX0002272, model 7 37956 16001 3, drive ZXX00000000 May I have return instructions to get board repaired? Thanks Al Brendel

Albert, I have issued you RMA #94/02290 for the return of the board for repair. Before doing so, however, please try the following: A. Re-install the I/O software. B. Plug your printer into the parallel port C. Re-boot the system D. From a shell, type "ASSIGN" and hit return. YOu should see the GVP DEVICES (GP0: GS0:) available. E. From that same shell, type "Copy S:Startup-sequence to GP0:". Your printer should now print the file. If this all works, then the board is ok and the problem was configuration. If the ASSIGN command does not give you I/O devices or the print command fails to print, then send the board in, documenting the results of these tests. Make sure that the RMA number appears on the outside of the package. GVP TECH
