Hey all, I just purchased an Emplant deluxe, and need to find a ROM source. Any Suggestions? If so, please E-mail. Thanks! Edgar Flying on AP at Warp 9 over Ojai

Edgar, I got a set this weekend at a local 'computer fair' (swap meet sort of thing) that is held at a different hotel most weekends in my area. I just kep looking for busted up old macs and finally found a guy who sold me the logic board from a IIcx that had other major problems. Try the swap meets and your local BBS's.

I'd like to repeat my suggestion at this point… Could someone post a list of Mac Rom chip numbers so that we can take the list in hand to swap meets and buy somewhat more informed? Thanks… PS What's a good price for a used rom these days? David Czaya …via AutoPilot 73445,407

Michael, Howgozit? Thanks for the reply re. the ROM's, and as it turns out I found some while on travel this last week. I searched through a couple of stores and after asking was handed a set in exchange for $30; so now that I'm home I have a little project to take care of. Any suggestions/quirks to be aware of? >>Any suggestions/quirks to be aware of?<< Edgar, Just get one. <g> How much RAM do you have in your Amiga? Do you have system 7.1 for installation? Do you have a HiDensity Amiga floppy drive?

A local dealer from me, -GAVE- me my ROMs for free. Many MAC dealers will through them away. Short of that, just call one of the sources that Jim quotes like Shreeve. -Jonathan // Amiga online via Autopilot. MAC Quadra 900 and \\// 486 emulation. E-Mail: jonathanb@delrina.com

Jonathan, Well shoot, it cost me $30 so I guess you got the better deal. Oh well, at least I have them. Is your 486 emulation also on the Emplant? If so, could you fill me in on what you've got, please? I appreciate the reply and I'll let you know how it turns out. Isn't it odd that Apple is being so tight on the chips? Seems like another 'Prohibition' type of control, and that if people want them the bootleggers are gonna give them their 'gin'.<G> Edgar Flying on AP at Warp 9 over Ojai

No, my 486 emulation is with another piece of hardware, but when the PC Emplant module comes out, the BB is outa here! -Jonathan // Amiga online via Autopilot. MAC Quadra 900 and \\// 486 emulation. E-Mail: jonathanb@delrina.com
